Future Ball Player!

Morgan loves to play with balls. She does a pretty good job catching (trapping) it and throwing it back, and gets super excited about this game. I think we have a future softball player in training! Tonight I tried to get video but was home alone so forgive the terrible quality...you get the idea.

Future Ball Player video

Blogger is not letting me upload videos any more for some reason, so please follow the link to view the video I uploaded to YouTube. Let me know if it doesn't work; this is the first time I've tried it this way.

Crawling!

Morgan has been pretty mobile for awhile, rolling everywhere, turning in circles, and crawling backward. We've been encouraging her to crawl forward but she just wouldn't try. On Sunday Brandon was packing up to go out of town for work for the week and Morgan was on the ground playing. I told her, "You have 12 minutes before Daddy leaves to learn to crawl forward," afraid it would happen soon and he'd miss it. Literally one minute later he took his bag out to the car and she crawled four steps forward!! Thankfully she did it again before he left.

I got video but I'm sure it's too large to upload, so you'll have to take my word for it. She's still not very motivated to crawl forward, but soon she'll figure out it's a much more efficient way to move around.

Christmas Wrap-up

I'm finally getting back to posting some Christmas pictures...better late than never! Morgan did so great with all of the festivities. She just sat on the floor, played, and took it all in. She loved pulling bows off, tearing paper, and making things crinkle. We celebrated on Christmas at our house with Brandon's family, and went to American Falls around New Years to celebrate with Heidi's family.

Snow Shoeing

A couple weeks ago, to escape the fog and inversion in Boise, we headed to the mountains. It was about 45ยบ and absolutely beautiful! Morgan thoroughly enjoyed wandering through the woods. She was chatting, kicking, and squealing. Sydney also enjoyed frolicking in the snow.

Merry Christmas!

We were going to take family pictures for our Christmas cards (and Morgan's half-birthday) but between the weather not cooperating, illness, and general busyness it never happened. However we did take some cute pictures of Morgan for cards.

Hello?!?

So I haven't forgotten about the blog, we have just been so busy that other things have taken priority.  I am working on organizing pictures from the last couple months and will then post some updates.

Mmmm food!

Morgan is a great eater! She has eaten everything she's tried, though she's not always so sure at first (see the middle left "green beans" and middle right "peaches" faces). Her favorite so far is actually squash, which causes many yummy sounds (see the top middle picture). She enjoys feeding herself avocado through the mesh bag (bottom middle), and is now working on the sippy cup. It's fun feeding her and watching her try new things!
