Lions, Tiger, and Bears....sort of

Last week Heidi's mom was in town for the Nickle Creek concert so Heidi took the next day off to hang out before Mom had to go home. Aunt Rosalie joined us for a trip to Zoo Boise. This was Morgan's first trip to the zoo. Overall she loved it, but was tired and zonked out in the butterfly exhibit. Unfortunately she missed petting the goats. It just means we'll have to go back! Some of the animals were tucked into the back asleep so we did not get to see some, such as the tiger and the snow leopard. It was fun to see the zebras and giraffes and lions out and about though!

Morgan loved the big kitty, and I think the big kitty thought she looked like a delicious snack!

The butterfly room was really neat. They loved the bright colors we were wearing, especially Morgan's hat!

It was interesting to see how the butterflies tended to sit on like colors to blend in. These butterflies were especially good at blending in!

It was warm in the butterfly exhibit and past Morgan's nap time, and she fell asleep on Grandma's shoulder

Camping

Every year we try and go camping with the Wingfield family. This year we were fortunate enough to have weather and schedules cooperate such that we could go. We camped near the confluence of the North Boise and the Crooked Rivers. The first night we were off-river and dealt with mosquitoes, so the second day we broke camp for a nicer spot right next to the river, with no mosquitoes. We had a freak 6:00 AM thunderstorm on Sunday, but other than that the weather was great despite the bleak forecast. Someone had built a wading pool in the river so we were able to cool off and relax.

Morgan did great and had fun playing in the dirt. She especially loved Brayden's giant dump truck, particularly when Mom was pushing her in it!
